Description

This 8-hour online refresher class is designed to provide the Board-required refresher training for licensed security officers in Alabama. The content mirrors the ASRB-aligned initial course and reinforces the core topics required by Alabama Code §34-27C-8 and Ala. Admin. Code r. 832-X-1-.08. The class is divided into eleven modules: Alabama Security Guard Law & Regulatory Overview; Introduction to Private Security; Alabama Security Guard Law – State-Specific Legal Issues; Legal Foundations & Ethics; Appropriate Use of Force in Alabama; The Appropriate Use of Force; Crisis Intervention and De-Escalation; Patrol Procedures and Observation; Emergency Response; Public Interaction and Customer Service; and Specialized Security Knowledge. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate of completion documenting 8 hours of ASRB-compliant refresher training, which can be used as proof of education when renewing an Alabama unarmed security officer license.
